Beauty of Dreams: Encouragement to the Dream Chasers

Hey All!

This past weekend I graduated at the Chicago Theatre with my Masters degree in Counselling Psychology specialisation in Clinical Mental Health Counselling! I was contemplating doing a beauty/fashion post about the day, or a post about the gifts I received, however I decided to focus on chasing your dreams.

Going after what you want can be scary. There will be internal and external voices questioning your decisions and your every move. You may feel like failures on the way to your dreams are maximised whilst achievements are minimised. There are countless hurdles, moments of self-doubt along the way and pauses in your plans that feel more like stops. There will be frustrations and cathartic moments which may put you on an entirely new path! The struggle is always worth it in the end! Our struggles build character and helps us grow and then we become an even better version of ourselves than we originally dreamt of.

It’s important to stay true to yourself and the dreams you have set out to achieve. As the saying goes ‘The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’. When you need a break from the pressures of dream chasing and creating take it; press pause. When the waves of internal and external voices threaten to hold your head underwater until you give up, find your inner strength and pray to your higher power. Strive, work at your dream, the rewards and benefits of achievements will always be worth it! Always remember ‘The dream is free, the hustle is sold separately’.

Hope you enjoyed reading and never stop chasing your dream! Till next time be brave, be true, be you!
